Terms & Conditions for Sweet cart or Ferrero Rocher Tower
Sweet cart – Ivory with stripy canopy
£50 deposit is required on booking to hold your date and the balance will be due 4 weeks before the event, per item being booked.
For all bookings the sweet cart will be delivered and set-up at your venue at a time that’s convenient for you. Then collected as agreed.
Standard hire time is 3 hours; however for many weddings and evening events we can try to arrange to collect the cart the following day if this is convenient for you and the venue.
Following your event, all remaining sweets will be bagged up for you to keep – we never ever re-use sweets from previous events!
Numbers and quantities are worked out so that each person attending will have at least ‘a quarter’ of sweets (approximately 115 grams).
All hires that involve leaving the cart will require a fully refundable deposit of £75 that will be returned immediately on the satisfactory collection of the cart and all equipment. Breakage deposit of £50 must be paid on confirmation of booking and will be returned at the end of the event after all equipment is accounted for and in same condition as it was received.
A deposit of £50 is required to confirm the date with full payment due no later than 28 days before your event.
In the result of any damages to either the cart or glassware or any items such as crystals, tongs, scoops or lights going missing then the person responsible for the hire of the cart will be charged a damage fee accordingly, for the cost replacement.
In the event of damage to either the car, glassware, Ferrero Rocher Tower, or any items supplied by Berkshire Sweet cart, there will be a charge for damage accordingly, for the cost replacement.
We attend events all over our area with free travel to anywhere within a 15 mile radius of our base in Henley on Thames. Additional miles will be charged at a rate of 40p per mile.
CANCELLATION CHARGES WILL APPLY
- Within 4 weeks of the event – 30% of total cost
- Within 3 weeks of the event- 60% of total cost
- Within 2 weeks of the event – 90% of total cost
Customers should also ensure that children are suitably supervised as sweets chosen could pose a choking hazard, or for allergies
NUT ALLERGIES & SAFETY WARNING
Please note that some of the sweets may contain or have traces of nuts or nut oil, or may have been made alongside other products containing nuts. Berkshire Sweet cart cannot be held responsible for any issues resulting from food allergies.
“Berkshire sweet cart” can NOT be held responsible for safety issues which occur from the use of equipment, consumables or the consumption of the confectionery left at the celebration location. All sweets left over will be bagged and left for the person hiring the cart. we DO NOT re-use any left over sweets. we are fully covered by public liability insurance.
Customers should ensure that young children are supervised at all times to avoid the risk of suffocation or choking from plastic sweet wrappers, plastic bags or sweets. Berkshire Sweet Cart cannot be held responsible for safety issues which occur from the use of our equipment or consumption of the confectionary at the event.
Equipment is regularly PAT tested.
Anyone selling/serving has the appropriate food hygiene certification.
We can currently accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer. Please contact us for details.
Nut Allergies & Hygiene
Hygiene is of upmost importance to us. We have level 2 hygiene certificates, all of our sweets are handled with hygiene gloves, which will be changed if handling any sweets containing any nuts. We regret due to cross contamination within the sweet factories we are UNABLE to guarantee that products we supply have not come into contact with any nut or nut derivatives. A full list of ingredients in each sweet can be provided upon request.
Breakages of any glassware must be reported to Berkshire Sweet Cart immediately and the cart closed. This is to meet with health and safety laws and to prevent any glass contamination in the sweets, this is for yours and your guest’s safety.
Glass Hire Agreement/ Breakage Charge:
All glassware that is delivered to your event by ‘The Sweet Station’ will be collected by us at an arranged date and time after the event.
If you are hiring on behalf of a business or organisation you confirm that you have the necessary authority to enter into this contract on behalf of that business or organisation and that you will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the glassware is not damaged or misused during the period of the hire. This includes ensuring that the glassware can safely be used with any other items which you use. You shall not sell or attempt to sell or otherwise dispose of the glassware.
Children should be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, when selecting and eating the sweets, candy floss and popcorn. Some accessories and glassware used on the carts can be a danger to young children. Berkshire Sweet Cart are not responsible for any liability. You confirm that children will be correctly supervised at all times when selecting and eating the sweets, candy floss and popcorn. Not all sweets are suitable for young children.
DELIVERY & CANCELLATION
We will deliver the hired item(s) and set up at time specified by you the customer. Should any unforeseen delay occur then we are not liable. Cancellation of the cart must be done as soon as possible by phone 07974 572969 followed up in writing either by post or email.
In no circumstances shall our liability to you exceed the value of the contract. Berkshire Sweet Cart, or any representative shall not be liable in respect of damages/injury/loss or any other damage incurred in respect of this hire, as a result of any default or damage to the item(s) the customer shall satisfy themselves of the suitability/condition/placement of the equipment upon receipt.
Permission should be sought by you the hirer from the venue as to the suitability of all items hired and to ensure the candy cart will fit into your chosen venue. Most venues will require to see PAT test documents and insurance documents.
In no event shall Berkshire Sweet Cart be liable to you for any damages resulting from or relating to any failure or delay to provide service under this agreement if such delays are due to strikes, weather, fire, riots, theft, terroism or any other causes beyond our control. Such failure or delay shall not constitute a default in this agreement.
The Sweet Station or any of my representatives shall not be liable in respect of damage/injury/loss or any other damage incurred in respect of this hire. We hold full public liability insurance and a copy of this can be given if you require it.
Permission should be sought by you the hirer from the venue as to the suitability of the hire of the cart and to ensure that the Sweet Cart will fit into your chosen venue. The dimensions of the Sweet Cart are 6′ 6″ high, 2′ wide and 5′ long and has 80cm wheels.
Although we endeavour to ensure that all your chosen sweet choices are presented to you, occasionally our suppliers change their sweets without notices, withdraw them from sale or have a quality alert on them, so on rare occasion we may contact you to provide us with an alternative sweet choice.
The cart must not be used for your guests to leave their drinks/glasses on.
Our cart is professionally painted and sign written and this may result in the cart being water damaged or stained.
Nothing must be attached to the hired item without prior agreement from ‘The Sweet Station’.
If for any reason the hired item is seriously damaged beyond repair/stolen a charge of £450 will be incurred for the cart or wheel and £250 for the LOVE light, wishing well and Post Box.
We guarantee that your details will not be disclosed to third parties. We hold your details under the Data Protection Act 1998. These are only used by us to deliver your hired items. You can request removal of your details at any time.
